The Boulder High School Mountain Bike Team traveled to Eagle, Colorado, for the 2017 State Championships this weekend. Boulder left it all on the course and pulled off a 2nd place finish out of 72 teams from across the state.
The State Title stays in Boulder as Fairview edged out your Panthers by 36 points out of 5000. Hats off to the Knights who rode a great race.
Boulder High crowned 2 individual 2017 State Champions with Bjorn Riley taking JV boys and Cooper Lull Sophomore Boys. Other riders on the podium included, Madigan Munro, 3rd in JV girls; Ryan Stowers, 4th in JV Boys; Max Kredl, 2nd in Sophomore Boys; Kale Lantz, 4th in Sophomore Boys; Wren Taylor, 2nd in Sophomore girls; and Gigi Jensen, 3rd in Sophomore girls.
Martha Reidel was awarded the Trailblazer award by the Colorado League. This award is given to the student-athlete, coach, or community member who persevered through challenging circumstances, overcame adversity, and is a positive role model.
Boulder High also earned the Golden Pick award given to the team logging the most volunteer hours of trail-building. This included a check for $500 toward our program.
